Spørgsmål: A bliver næsten ramt af en bold spillet af en spiller i den følgende gruppe. I vrede slår A bolden tilbage mod gruppen. Har A slået et øvelsesslag eller spillet en forkert bold?

Svar: Nej. Imidlertid pådrager A sig efter ret og rimelighed (Regel 1-4) den almindelige straf på tab af hul i hulspil eller to slag i slagspil.

In Decision 1-4/4 a player is penalized 2 strokes for hitting a ball back towards the following group.
Would the same principle (doing something contrary to the "spirit of the game") apply if the player - instead of hitting the ball back - put it on a tee and thus deprived the player of the lie he is entitled to ?

Dear Poul Erik,
Thank you for your email. I have always read this Decision as having a danger element to it and that is why the player is penalised in equity. I think your example is less serious and, while perhaps warranting a reprimand, is not a penalty situation (see Rule 18-4).
